They are proud members of UFDC (United Federation of Doll Clubs) and NADDA (National Antique Doll Dealers Association). Their California show appearances include the Verdugo Hills Club Show, World Doll Day local shows, All American Collectors Show and others. They also participate in the Eastern National Antique Doll and Toy Show in Gaithersburg, Maryland, as well as events hosted by UFDC and NADDA across the country. Mary Ann has been collecting antique dolls since the age of 17, when she met one of her mother’s Avon clients who owned 1,500 antique dolls. Captivated by their beauty, Mary Ann knew she had to have one of her own. That Christmas, her mother gifted her an all-original Armand Marseille 390, whom she named Natalie (natale means Christmas in Italian). Natalie—still part of Mary Ann’s collection today—sparked a lifelong devotion to antique dolls and accessories, as well as an enduring quest to learn everything possible about this fascinating aspect of childhood history.

If you notice that an unusual number of dolls on our site are listed as “original” or “factory”, it reflects Mary Ann’s passion for dolls in their authentic presentation. After decades of collecting, handling, and appreciating factory-clothed dolls, these rare examples seem naturally drawn to her collection.

All bisque or China doll heads and parts are guaranteed to be free of hairlines, cracks, or chips unless noted in the description. Any significant imperfections or repairs to the composition body will also be mentioned unless the wear is considered minor and age-appropriate. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

All items are guaranteed to meet your satisfaction and may be returned for a full refund within three days of receipt, provided that:

• The item is in the same condition as when shipped, and
• It is returned fully insured and carefully packaged.

We offer flexible layaway plans tailored to your needs, depending on the price of the doll. Terms range from three to twelve months. Layaways are non-refundable. If you choose to cancel your layaway before completion, you may apply your credit balance (minus a 15% restocking fee based on the original sale price) toward another item.

If you complete your layaway, receive your item, and find that it does not meet your expectations based on the description, you may either apply the purchase price to another item or take a store credit for future use.

We will sell single items or entire collections on consignment at a general commission rate of 25%, and/or you can set a reserve for each item, whereby you will receive no less than that amount in payment. The commission rate may be adjusted by initial agreement to reflect the type or types of items being sold. The commission amount and payout to consignor amount are calculated on the “net sale amount, which is the sale price of the item less the cost of sale, such as credit card fees, PayPal fees, or Ruby Lane fees. An item purchased directly from www.maspinelli.com and paid for by check or cash will incur no cost of sale.

You can decide whether or not to allow layaway on your item; however, we cannot make a payment to you on that item until the purchaser has completed paying us for the item, received it, and approved it. At that point, the layaway term is complete, and full payment will be issued to you.

California sales are subject to sales tax unless the buyer provides a valid California resale license. Items shipped out of state are not charged sales tax if purchased directly (not through a third-party platform such as Ruby Lane). Transactions completed via the Ruby Lane platform are subject to applicable sales taxes for most U.S. states, as required by law.

Shipping and insurance charges are determined at the time of sale.

Items will be marked “HOLD” until the first payment is received. Items on layaway will be labeled “LAYAWAY” until payment is completed, and fully paid items will be marked “SOLD.”

A written antique doll report and appraisal is available for $65.00 per doll. For multiple dolls or full collections, an hourly fee can be negotiated. A brief email appraisal and description can also be provided for $25 per doll.
